             In 2005 Sri Balaji Group of institution was a small teacher training institute offering a Diploma course with fifty students. In 2006, the college started B.ED programme with 100 students and through commitment and dedication, a vibrant campus community has been created in the heart of Cheranmahadevi town for nearly 450 students. All share a passion to become qualified teachers and are given every opportunity to grow and achieve.

             Our activities show our extraordinary commitment in achieving the very highest standards in the quality education that Sri Balaji colleges provides. Within a short period of time it would be a tremendous achievement and a great credit to all of the team at Sri Balaji Colleges.

             The environment we have created here at Sri Balaji College of Education is quite unique and I am very proud to have such individuality. The College is home to a lively community of almost 200 students of all ages, and from around 5 districts of Tamil Nadu, all with a keen interest in the field of education and aspire to become primary, secondary and high school teachers. Our Knowledge Temple campus development programme ensures that our students have access to excellent teaching and recreational facilities, in many cases not comparable by other colleges.

             We provide all our students with the ability to study to every high standard and the opportunity to gain and develop important teaching & life skills, enabling them to grow in confidence and successfully progress onto higher education or into employment. Research in education is one of the high priority areas of teacher education research. It’s compulsory for each student to undertake one research project in their course of study so as to prepare them for master degree in education. Our faculty to student ratio is 1:15

             To be named as one of the top institutes in teacher education providers in the country and our initiative towards centre of excellence is “Shri Ramachandra teacher education Research & innovation Centre” encourages cutting edge research in education and has international collaboration with American, European and rest of the world universities. We are planning to send few students and faculties through student and staff exchange programme to abroad.

             Many students find the progression from school to college is academically challenging. It is not a surprise as the way you learn, study and assessed in college is very different than anything you have experienced at school. Some of our students are returning to study after a long break. Their learning skills may be out of date, which might affect the performance and the confidence.
